J.R. Ramakrishnan has covered fashion, art and culture for the Chicago Tribune, Harper’s Bazaar and Style.com, amongst other publications. She is a graduate of the University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies, Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, and is currently an MFA candidate at the University of New Orleans. Her fiction debut was recently published by [PANK]. She currently assists with the production of the Tennessee Williams Literary Festival, and is working on a novel about the diaspora of seeds and humans.
